The Largs Viking Festival has warned against the use of drones at the festival site on the seafront.

The popular Norse extravanganza is taking place on the esplanade on Largs seafront, starting on Saturday, September 2, and running until September 10.

The event is a popular draw and is expected to attract tens of thousands of people to the Clyde Coast - with the majority of events taking place at the town's seafront.

And the festival committee has taken care to publicise in all the leaflets being distributed to the public that drone use around all the festival sites is not allowed.

It states: "For reasons of safety, the flying of drones in the vicinity of the festival locations is strictly prohibited."
