The ever popular Millport September weekend traditionally brings the curtain down on the tourism season - and is packed full of community events which are a throwback to days of old.
The event is fun for all the family with a fireworks display, late-night shopping, and a lovely carnival atmosphere with late-night ferries on the Saturday evening, all contributing to the buzz.
This year's event is scheduled for September 22-24.
The weekend has been a huge part of Millport's history, from sandcastle to crabbing competitions, spanning over 80 years, culminating in the magnificent firework display.
The spectacular display, funded and organised by the Isle of Cumbrae Tourism Association, sees tourists flock to Cumbrae - providing a timely boost to the local economy.
It also sees shops and properties decorated and lit up to welcome visitors - with light night shopping.
