A POPULAR theatre in Largs has released details of their upcoming shows for the next couple of months.

Barrfields Theatre will be putting on plenty of eye-catching - and ear-grabbing - shows in October and November, including tributes to some true icons of popular music.

The autumn programme at Barrfields begins with a magnificent show that pays homage to one of Hollywood's greatest stars, Doris Day. Que Sera Sera will be performed on Saturday, October 7 at 2.30pm.

Then it's Endless Love, a tribute to the music of Lionel Richie and Diana Ross, on Friday, October 13 at 7.30pm - described as "the ultimate feel-good show celebrating two legendary hitmakers".

October ends with the Neil Diamond tribute show, A Beautiful Noise, on Sunday, October 29 at 7.30pm.

But the tributes continue into November, with Oh What A Night on Friday, November 10 at 7.30pm - taking fans back in time on a musical journey through the incredible career of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.

However, people are urged to be quick for this show as tickets are almost sold out.

Before all that, though, there's still a small number of tickets available for free live history tours of the theatre this weekend.

The tours are part of Scotland's Doors Open Days festival, which sees historic - and historical - venues across the country open their doors to visitors.

The Barrfields tours run on Saturday, September 16, and will be led by a cast of local actors bringing the history books to life as you learn about the history of the theatre and get an access-all-areas look.

For more information about the shows and to buy tickets can be found on Barrfields Theatre's website at barrfieldstheatre.com.

Tickets for this Saturday's guided tours can be booked at the Doors Open Days Festival website.
