A loving dog is on the lookout for her forever home after coming through a hard start to life.

Three-year-old Molly currently resides at Underheugh Ark Rescue Centre near Inverkip, but is looking for a loving family to move in with.

The animal was kept in cruel conditions as a youngster, and has also had tumours removed from her body.

A spokesperson said: "Our gorgeous girl Molly is ready to find her forever home and after the terrible suffering she has been throughwe are looking for a very special home for her.

"Molly had puppies before she came to us and sadly was used as a breeding machine and kept in unbelievable conditions.

"She was terrified of being in a house and she had never been loved, fussed over or had anyone show an ounce of compassion towards her.

"She sadly has had mast cell tumours removed and at three years old she deserves happiness.

"This is a huge ask for anyone looking to adopt but Molly is a wonderful girl who needs and deserves a forever home.

"She is dog friendly but she can be so scared if a dog big or small barks at her so she would be best being an only dog or we would consider a very calm, neutered male dog."
