A man has been arrested in connection with a series of break-ins around Largs at the weekend.
During the early hours of Saturday morning, the clearance shoe shop window was repeatedly smashed in Tron Place.
Overnight between Sunday and Monday, there were further break-ins at a mobile phone shop in Aitken Street and the Gypsy Cream cafe in Frazer Street.
Sergeant Donald Fisher of Largs Police confirmed that an arrest has been made.
He said: " I am acutely aware of the incidents over the weekend and last few weeks and the impact they have had on local businesses and the community, and have been working hard to address.
"Further to the previous break-in related arrests made, on September 18, a 27 year old male was arrested and charged in relation to recent break-in incidents in Largs.
"He is being held in custody to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court the next lawful day."
