West Kilbride villagers using Virgin 02 and Sky Mobile have been experiencing mobile phone problems with Sky sayng disruption is due till October 18.
Users who have contacted Sky have been told that the company are carrying out some upgrade works to keep the network in tune 'but sometimes this takes longer than expected'.

The Sky Mobile website goes on to say that the company will update customers on October 18 regarding the matter.

Phone users say it has caused problems given contacting elderly relatives, while it has also affected local businesses, with users saying that they were unhappy to be given no prior warning to the situation.

Vodaphone and 02 services in Millport have also been disrupted due to maintenance issues which are expected to continue till October 6.

The News understands that Virgin Media 02 are carrying out upgrade work on masts in the area in order to keep the network running smoothly.

Sky Mobile have informed the News that they are working hard to get things back to normal as soon as we can and sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing.
