The operators of the Brisbane House Hotel have provided a final update before closing on Saturday October 28 for four months.

The Manorview Group have announced significant changes to the operation of the business.

As revealed earlier this month, the Brisbane House Hotel is to close until March for upgrade works.

The company says that when the hotel opens in the spring, the bar and restaurant facilities within Largs most prestigious hotel, will no longer be available for public use.

They say they plan to fully concentrate on hosting weddings, private functions and events.

In a Facebook posting on their page at 5pm on Friday, they stated: " Just a reminder that this Saturday 28th October will be our last day open until March 1st next year.

"As we shared last week, we are closing to make some upgrades in the building, which we're excited for guests to experience!

"When we re-open, we'll operate as a hotel, private events and functions venue, and exclusive-use wedding venue.

"Stay tuned for updates along the way! Thank you."

The operators say that they plan to re-open on March 1 – but with some changes.

A spokesperson said: "After much consideration, we’ve decided to focus on delivering weddings, private functions and events, and hotel breaks.

"We feel we have much to offer in these areas, and we love to help people from Largs and beyond celebrate life’s many moments.

"That said, the restaurant and bar will no longer be open to the public.

"This has been a difficult decision. But we know our many neighbouring cafes, bars, and restaurants will continue to offer the people of Largs fabulous places to eat and drink.

"We will continue to attract visitors to our hotel to help support those businesses too.

"We will be available for private dining, parties, events, gatherings, and funerals. And we will share more information on that when we re-open.

"Our hotel rooms will be available to book on a B&B basis.

"And for weddings, we’re excited to offer Brisbane House as an exclusive-use venue. This means couples and guests will have the entire venue to themselves.

"More information on this – and the upgrades we’re making for weddings, will come soon."

"We want to thank you for your continued support of our business. More information will come as we re-open in the spring."
