A cat was rescued by emergency crews after a fire took hold at a house in Largs on Sunday morning.
Plumes of smoke could be seen billowing from the property. It is understood nobody was hurt and a cat was rescued, according to locals.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.08am on Sunday, October 29 to reports of a house on fire at Millburn Gardens, Largs.
“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a mid-terraced house.
“There were no reported casualties and crews left the scene at around 1.52pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
