Largs Community Church is holding a charity fashion show in the Dunn Memorial Hall next week.
It is the first joint fundraiser since the churches of Cumbrae, Fairlie and Largs united in September.
The proceeds will go to support the treatment of a missionary minister's daughter, Sithembile Soko, for cancer in Malawi.
Session clerk Jim Welsh said: "Sithembile is daughter of the Rev Brown Soko, our partnership minister at Katolonji Church in Malawi.
"The first part of the treatment - chemotherapy treatment - is costing £2,200 plus radiation treatment with costs not known as yet. To put matters in perspective a minister's monthly salary is £40 in Malawi.
"There will be a raffle on the night and proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK. People will receive a drink on arrival with tea/coffee and home baking after the show.
"We hope the community will support this worthwhile cause."
The event will be held on Thursday November 16 at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £8 and are available from Largs Printing Company or phoning
