West Kilbride Primary pupils were given an informative insight into the future of renewable energy recently.

Workshops and lectures covered topics like wind turbines, greenhouse gases, and the world's future energy needs.

Photographer Charlie Gilmour captured some of the important moments from the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics project (STEM).

Children apply their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics knowledge in contexts that make connections between the classroom and the world around them.

STEM education encourages and empowers every student to use their creativity and to develop their critical thinking skills.

It promotes teamwork, resilience and a growth mindset - and it certainly provided plenty of interest.
