In this week's look back into the Wee Paper's archives, we turn the clock back to the 1990s.
The Ayrshire Junior Golf League held their Ayrshire Boys team championships at Largs Golf Club in 1993, and the winners were the home team of Graeme Meikle, who also won the individual award, Neil Wightman, Allan Keogh and Campbell Donaldson whose score totalled 243.
Bill Topping, Largs captain, was on the right in the picture above, with donor Matt Lygate and Angus McPhee also pictured.
And Mapes in Millport was certainly hitting the heights with two visitors who had a few tall stories to tell all the youngsters visiting on the day.

Douglas Park Bowling Club were 'smiles better' as their gala day fundraiser took place in glorious sunshine.

Another big sailing race was completed with the overall winner Colin Porteous joined by Carolyn Elder, Campbell Moore, Peter Carrick and Ken McClelland.

And making dreams come true at the old Charleston Hotel in Largs were these three fairies - in entertainment provided by the Largs Players.
