A GROUP of life-saving 'first responders' in Largs have been given the ideal Christmas gift with the addition of two new members to their team.
The Largs First Responders attend 999 calls in support of the Scottish Ambulance Service, providing vital first aid until paramedics are able to arrive at an emergency.
Though trained by the ambulance service, the group's funding comes from donations made by the public.
A group spokesperson said: "We would like to congratulate our two new first responders, Harrison Cooper and Sophie Auld, who completed their training course this month in Edinburgh.
"They are both now fully trained and ready to support our community. Well done to you both."
