A motorist has been taken to hospital after a crash on the A78 near Skelmorlie.
The road was closed following the one-vehicle incident, which happened at 5.20am, but it had fully reopened by 8.45am.
Police have confirmed that no other vehicles were involved.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.20am on Wednesday, 27 December, 2023 officers were called to reports of a single vehicle crash on Shore Road, Skelmorlie.
"The driver of the vehicle, a woman, was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital by ambulance."
