A popular North Ayrshire eatery has announced it is closing early today due to the adverse weather.
Cita Tapas, based at West Kilbride Railway Station, say they have taken the decision due to travelling difficulties for staff.
The News previously reported that trains on the Glasgow-Largs line are not currently operating west of Kilwinning because of flooding, with no replacement buses or ticket acceptance in place.
A spokesperson said: "Due to the weather making travel difficult for our team, we have decided to close this evening.
"All bookings have been contacted to reschedule - we’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."
