DRIVERS are being warned of roadworks taking place on the A78 near Largs seafront later this week.
Trunk road maintenance company Amey have announced that resurfacing work is to be carried out on part of Greenock Road and Gallowgate Street.
However, the good news for motorists - or most of them, at any rate - as well as for businesses and the public is that the work will not take place during daylight hours.
Instead workers will be on site overnight, between 8pm on Friday, January 26 and 6am on Saturday, January 27.
Amey say that temporary traffic lights will be in place for the duration of the works, and that as a result of the timing of the work, they expect little or no disruption.
