In this week's nostalgic look back through the archives, we head back to 1993.
The Largs Pop-in creche was pictured as children were finding out about when dinosaurs roamed the globe, very much in keeping with the high interest sparked by the number one movie of the year Jurassic Park.
Cumbrae Primary pupils dressed up in all sorts of guises from witches to spooky ghosts as island snapper Walter Kerr came calling on Hallowe'en.
Kelburn Primary had a sponsored singalong, with Iain McFadyen, Kaeren Muir, Jenna Bing, Alison Bull, Hayley Skinner and Louise Summers taking part.
And it was a case of 'Hair today, gone tomorrow' for Largs beloved viking Harry the Hagarus (aka Harry McEachan), who was going for a chop of a different kind as Leann Dunbar and Vicky Dunne of The Bagel Basket carried out 'The Big Shave'.
The 2nd Largs Rainbow Guides lined up for the visit of the News photographer with their latest recruits.
