The CalMac ferry service between Largs and Cumbrae has returned to service following an engine issue.
CalMac issued an update just before midday as the ferry service was brought offline, with the vessel tied up at Largs Pier as an investigation took place place.
The service also suffered technical issues yesterday morning before a speedy resumption. The MV Loch Shira only returned to service on February 3 after its annual maintenance check.
CalMac had explained this morning that a technical issue with the Aft Main Engine had resulted in the service being suspended for two hours.
However, the service has now resumed.
A spokesperson said: "The vessel is now returning to service and will resume with a shuttle service to clear the traffic."
