Concerns over 'potentially hazardous materials' near Largs seafront sparked a full emergency response.
Fire crews were seen rushing to the scene of the incident near the Largs RNLI lifeboat station, close to the site of the ongoing seafront construction works, at around 4.30pm on Sunday.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 4.26pm on Sunday, 25 February to assist emergency service partners at incident involving potentially hazardous materials on Greenock Road, Largs.
"Operations control mobilised two appliances and specialist resources to the area.
"There were no casualties, and crews left at 5.59pm after ensuring the area was safe."
