A NEW barber's shop in Largs is catching the eye of locals - before it's even opened for business.
The 'Golden Blade' barbers is due to open on Monday, March 11, but has already made an impression with an eye-catching design on the wall at the side of the shop in Aitken Street.
The former Encore jewellery shop has been lying empty since last year.
Owner Sarbast Hamza told the News he is hoping the business will create two more local jobs.
Asked about the outside design, Sarbast said: "I like to put in maximum effort to make sure the premises looks nice, and I hope people appreciate it when we open.
"I have recently moved to Largs and I really like the atmosphere here. It has a good vibe and I can't wait to open."
Neighbouring business owner Scott Paton, who is landlord of the property, said: "A new business in Largs can only a good thing."
