Primary schools in Largs very much got into the spirit of things for World Book Day with some classes dressing up for the big occasion in some of their favourite characters.
Both Largs Primary and St Mary's Primary had various events on so that pupils could celebrate their favourite literary characters and novels, and comic book heroes.
St Mary's Primary pupils used their character description and narrative planning page to create a cartoon strip about their 'Superhero'.
From the caped crusader in Batman to the wonderful wizardry of Harry Potter, children loved getting involved in the creative comic work.
They are now looking forward to using their comic strip to help them write their story.
Pupils also created a banquet for their castles topic. Youngsters enjoyed celebrating the World Book Day theme: ‘Little People, Big Dreams’ and created a timeline of their life and wrote about their big dream.
And Largs Primary School enjoyed a fabulous World Book Day. P1-7 shared some of their homework challenges and World Book Day activities at assembly. See below.
