it was reported that somebody entered the curtilage 'with intent to commit theft' according to eye-witnesses at the scene who raised the alarm.

Continuing concerns have been raised on social media pages such as Largs People, including residents from the Gogo Street area, which is one minute's walk from the Main Street.

We reported earlier this year that concerns were raised at a town meeting over night prowlers trying to open doors in various Largs streets in recent weeks.

Streets including Linn Avenue, Lindsay Crescent, Gateside Street, Alexander Avenue and Queen's Avenue were named as locations where these incidents have taken place.

Police have urged the public to continue to be vigilant.
