Fitness was to the fore back in 1994 as Largs BB showed off their silverware for winning the Battalion Cross Country competition.
Also in good tune were Brisbane Primary School who posed for the camera after winning a school music festival competition.
The firemen's party for school kids on the Isle of Cumbrae was always a popular date for youngsters in the island calendar, pictured below.
Meanwhile, it was a fresh chapter for school children in Fairlie as they were pictured at the school library as part of a literature project - inside the historic school which survived over 100 years before being replaced in the mid-1990s.
And Largs Badminton Club, which has been running in the town since the centre opened in 1958, and is still going strong, posed for the camera with racquets at the ready for another two hours of shuttle service.
Popular hits from the period included Ace of Base and 'The Sign', and Celine Dion with 'The Power of Love' while the top films of the year included Four Weddings and a Funeral and a young Ewan McGregor starring in Shallow Grave.
