A Largs firefighter is set to retire after dedicating 45 years of his life to keeping the people of the area safe.
The crew at Largs Fire Station held a presentation night for firefighter Norman Burt, who is due to retire on Friday, March 29.
Norman joined the crew on January 1, 1979 and has been an integral part of the station in the town centre since.
A spokesperson from Largs Fire Station said: "Thank you to all crew past and present, AC McMeekin, SC McCutcheon, WC McKee, WC Coleman and the Skelmorlie crew that turned up on the night.
"You will be missed Norman. We all wish you a happy and healthy retirement."
