Police caught an alleged thief following a break-in and an attempted break-in at premises on Aitken Street in Largs.
The incidents happened last month and were discussed in the monthly crime report presented by Largs Police to the town's community council this week.
The first reported attempted house break-in occurred on March 28, which went undetected.
However, a second incident of an alleged house break-in and theft, occurred on March 30.
A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
