Cumnock Chronicle: Royal visit

HRH The Princess Royal visited Dalmellington to open the town's new Carers Centre in April 2009. The £2.5million centre in Dalmellington House was dedicated to the needs of carers. and the princess was pictured with Jane Smith, chief executive of East Ayrshire Young Carers.


Cumnock Chronicle: Catrine

Catrine residents pulled together to combat the litter problem that had blighted their village for so long. Villagers cleaned up some of the Catrine’s worst littered areas in April 2009 as part of the Keep Scotland Tidy campaign, and managed to collect 16 bags of rubbish.

A Mauchline firefighter celebrated 20 years in the service in April 2009. David Adams was presented with a medal to mark his time with the Brigade by Group Commander Eamonn Lyons.

There was something fun for everyone at the 2009 Woodroad Park Fun Day. With Pudsey Bear making an appearance and Cathy Jamieson MSP helping to open the event, the park was alive with noise and colour with a host of exciting activities going on.


Cumnock Chronicle: Cumnock's Go-Kidz head to the theatre in April 2009

Members of Go-Kidz put their smiley faces on as they prepared for a trip to the theatre in April 2009. The Cumnock Christian Fellowship youth organisation’s annual trip saw members visit the Palace Theatre in Kilmarnock to see Peter Pan and a great day was had by all.
