IF you've ever fancied being a part of the Largs RNLI team - whether on shore or in the lifeboat - a recruitment event next month will give you the chance to find out more about joining up.
Members of the lifeboat's volunteer crew will be on hand to talk to potential new recruits at the event, being held at the town's lifeboat station.
The RNLI provides first class training and equipment, guidance, and support to all volunteers, from lifeboat crew to shop volunteers and event marshals.
A Largs Lifeboat spokesperson said: "If you are interested in becoming part of our crew at Largs RNLI, we are holding a special event where you can come to the station for an informal chat with current members of our crew.
"You will have the opportunity to look around the station and our lifeboat and ask any questions you may have about volunteering.
"Becoming a volunteer is a great chance to play a crucial part in helping to save lives.
"If you are enthusiastic then you could be an important part of the crew at Largs RNLI, contributing towards the future of the charity and inspiring the next generation of crew."
The recruitment event takes place on Saturday, May 11 between 2-4pm.
If you can't make it on the day, but would still like to find out more about getting involved, you can email your details, with a phone number, to Largs@rnli.org.uk and someone from the team will get back to you.
