PRIMARY pupils in Largs have been out and about during the past week on work experience assignments.
The 'Class of 2024’ at St Mary's Primary School learned something new about the world of work on a visit to The Pooch Pod in Largs.
A school spokesperson said; "The pupils received a master class in how to run a business from Lynsey Ewing, and had the opportunity to observe and participate in some of the treatments they offer.
"Thank you to Lynsey and staff at The Pooch Pod for giving up their time and offering the children this wonderful work placement opportunity."
Local business entrepreneur Lynsey fulfilled her dream by opening The Pooch Pod in Brisbane Road last August.
The passionate Largs dog lover, who is a former school office lady, opened her new dog grooming and pet shop business in the former Ivory Mac premises which has since successfully moved to Main Street.
Lynsey said: "We loved having the kids down to The Pooch Pod. They were so eager to be part of our busy wee salon and they listened, asked questions, and loved spending time with all of our doggy friends."
