Police nabbed 'shoplifter' in Largs (Image: Newsquest)
Police have confirmed officers have made an arrest in relation to an alleged shoplifting incident in a pound shop in Largs.
The incident happened at Pound Basket in Gallowgate Street, on Largs seafront, on April 21.
Police say an arrest has been made and a person is being reported to the procurator fiscal.
In a separate incident, items were taken from Haco Stores on May 2. Police did not specify the items taken but said they they were investigating the matter.
The incidents featured in a crime report presented by Police Scotland to Largs Community Council covering crimes between April and May.
