Largs Food Hub were delighted to receive a kind donation of £200.

It was donated by Ayr Shed of Squaremen, a branch of freemasonry whose purpose is to support local charities involving children.

The cheque was presented to Irene Weir, chairperson of the Largs Food Hub, by brother Bill Hair.

Largs Food Hub is based in the local library and is open on a Tuesday 2.30pm to 5.30pm and a Friday from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Anyone who is finding it difficult to afford their weekly food shop can come along and do a top up shop. The food hub will help make your money go further.

You need to live in the Largs area and bring along proof of address to register. Although supported by North Ayrshire Council, the Food Hub relies on donations like these in order for it to keep going.

If anyone can help with a donation of food or money please drop in to the library during opening times or contact the Food Hub at Largsfh@gmail.com.

The hub is also looking for more volunteers so if anyone is interested in helping out, they would be delighted to hear from you.
