The chairman of Largs Events says he's excited at the prospect of a big crowd for the organisation's first food and drink festival this weekend.
Ian Murdoch told the News that there should be something for everyone with lots of choice on offer - and with the prospect of sunshine and balmy temperatures, the event should get off to a sizzling start.
Ian said: "We want local people to come and enjoy and support it.
"I know we have had a food festival in the past but this is the first one that Largs Events is organising and we hope that it is going to become an annual event.
"We have made the first offer to Largs businesses to come and take a stall, before opening it up to other businesses across Scotland, and I hope that this is just the beginning for more events in future."
Largs Events and SHS Events will be hosting the event on the weekend of Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2 on the promenade and the festival is open to all businesses and traders.
And the event has secured the signing of Masterchef: The Professionals competitor Rohan Wadke for the big weekend.
Rohan impressed judges Greig Wallace, Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti with his culinary skills when he featured on featured on the popular TV show in 2016, and he has been in high demand ever since.
Rohan's free cooking demonstrations will share the spotlight with 40 market stalls, 10 pop-up stalls and 10 street food stalls, offering continental foods, packaged foods, street food, off sales alcohol, cakes and bakes, jams, chutneys and butters, craft items including jewellery, fashion, dog fashion and food, artwork and more.
Kids' entertainment and face painters will also feature on the weekend's programme.
Promising that this is just the start for the group, Ian continued: "There is plenty more in the pipeline.
"We have the Dogs Day Out event returning this summer, and next year we are hoping to bring a classic car show to town as well as one more festival which is still under wraps as we speak but very exciting.
"We hope events like this will help bring more people to the town, and help provide economic spin-offs for other businesses in the area."
