The Kelburn Garden Party returns from July 4-8 and promises another unique, independent, magical music and arts festival.
Described by organisers as an annual explosion of colour, creativity and culture in the spectacular setting of Kelburn Country Centre, it now has a dedicated following of revellers from around the world, and the local area is gearing up for the major festival which is set to attract upwards of 3,000 people to the area.
Making their long-awaited UK debut with the band in its entirety, one of the headline acts to watch out for is Alogte Oho and His Sounds of Joy.
They’re comprised of bandleader Alogte’s powerful vocal lead, classic brass elements, electronic synth layers and an all-female choir.
Wowing the global scene with their hit classic release on Philophon records, ‘Mam Yinne Wa’, their music is a playful blend of soul, reggae, funk and beyond, and the Kelburn stage will be full of the joyful rhythms of West Africa’s new wave of dancefloor focused rhythms.
The Kelburn Garden Party festival is renowned for featuring a high quality and diverse range of musical styles that sits alongside a feast of creative endeavour and fun attractions embedded around the site, from interactive art installations, living theatre, pop-up parties to glen walks, waterfall plunge pools, poetry, workshops, and cabaret.
