An arrest has been made in Largs in connection with a car crash in Fairlie.
Residents contacted the News after they had seen sections of Gateside Street and Boyd Street closed off by police.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following a report of a one car crash around 2.40pm on Friday, July 19, on the A78 at Fairlie, the driver was traced in the Gateside Street area of Largs.
“The 51-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences.”
