Millport venues have lined up live musical entertainment in a bid to keep Cumbrae's country music traditions alive.
The Country Music Festival, started way back in 1995 as the 'Millport Country and Western Weekend', was a very successful attraction on the island for many years, and in more recent years, became a music festival, attracting many top performers from across the UK and the USA, but it came to an end two years ago.
However, the Millport Pier Hotel has revealed plans for three packed days of live country music from August 16-18 to satisfy the appetites of local and visiting country music fans. The Twa Dugs is also hosting live country music over the weekend.
A message on the Pier Hotel's Facebook page states: "Grab your partner, your boots, chaps and cowboy hats for the best weekend of the year!"
Liz Clarke Stenson's 'n' Heels are the first live show of the weekend on Friday, August 16 from 8pm until midnight.
Back To Country will be making a quick return to the Pier Hotel after their popular show earlier this month, with a set on Saturday, August 17 from 12 noon till 3pm.
DJ Stephen and the Rodeo Stomp Disco will encourage you to get your boots moving and come in for a boogie on Saturday from 3-6pm.
Rosemill Kix will be performing on Saturday at 9pm and on Sunday at midday.
The husband and wife duo hail from Dundee and will be bringing their own country music magic to the weekend.
They play a mix of country songs, songs popular with line dancers and a couple of originals too.
Ellie Kennedy will be performing country music hits and her pop favourites from 3-6pm on Sunday.

In the Twa Dugs, Friday night kicks off with Amanda at 8pm on the Country Karaoke.
On Saturday there will be two fabulous singers to get the feet a stomping with David Millar from 3pm-6pm, and Suzie G will be live from 9pm with her tribute show to Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton.
Next up on Sunday is Hollie Robertson who will be 'Keeping it Country' and will be performing live from 3pm.
A spokesperson for the Twa Dugs said: "The weekend is almost upon us and here at The Twa Dugs we are getting all ready for a fun packed weekend full of fabulous country hits, singers, and also why not try a bit of singing yourself!"
The Newton Bar have also unveiled a full weekend lineup for the Country Music fest.
On Friday August 16, it kicks off at 7pm with live music from Brodie, followed by country disco from 10pm.
On Saturday, it is Texas Rose line dancing from 12 noon, followed by Brodie at 3pm. There is a live dance disco from 5pm before Brodie is back at 8pm and then it is Millport favourites Scott and Andy Watson from 10pm.
Sunday rounds off with a line dance disco at 12.20pm, and live music with James and Wood at 8.30pm.
The Tavern Bar in Millport is hosting Karaoke and Country Music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night from 8pm.
Luca's Bar is also being converted into Luca's Saloon with a country and western inspired menu and say:"Join us for great tunes and tasty specials."
