A person has been arrested for alleged police assault in Largs.
The incident happened in the Brooksby car park, where the police station is based, on August 8.
Police confirmed in their monthly report to the community council that a detection had been made after allegations of police assault, threats and verbal abuse within the car park.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
The incident was included in the list of crimes provided to the community council which cover mid July to mid August, and was one of five disorder incidents reported in the town during that period, which included a separate incident of police assault in Gallowgate Street on July 24.
In that incident, a person was charged with alleged public indecency, threatening behaviour, and failing to provide necessary details to the police.
