THE Ayrshire Hospice is offering people touched by bereavement a stunning copper rose as a special way to remember a loved one.
Following work with Morrell’s Forge and Blacksmiths in Kirkoswald, the Ayrshire Hospice is able to offer supporters this new symbol of remembrance.
The flowers are handcrafted from sustainable copper and using this material means they will change colour over time, especially if placed outside.
As they are made by hand, no two roses are the same - each rose will be as individual as the person they are used to be remembered.
Lucy Glendinning, senior fundraiser for individual giving and legacies, said: “As part of this special year for the Ayrshire Hospice, we wanted to create a new in-memory flower.
"We took inspiration from our community and heritage and decided that the new flower just had to be a rose.
“The funds raised from each donation towards a Rose to Remember will help provide exceptional palliative and end-of-life care to our patients and their families across Ayrshire and Arran.”
You can order your Rose to Remember online at www.ayrshirehospice.org or over the phone on 01292 288 488.
