WE may have already beaten the Beast from the East and still be shivering into April but a hot soup is reassuring whatever the weather.
A voluntary group from Wemyss Bay and Skelmorlie Parish Church have been specialising in providing this for over 20 years.
It was back in 1998 that the 'Friday Soup' event had its first taster, and it has proved a popular fundraiser ever since.
Launched by Margaret Spence, it is estimated that over the years, it has raised over £60,000 for church funds.
During special occasions such as Easter, an amazing array of desserts and even live music is also provided.
