THREE men are to stand trial charged with carrying out a number of acid attacks.
Steven Marshall, 22, James Smith, 24, and Kieran Hunter, 26, today faced the allegations at the High Court in Glasgow.
They are charged with attacking three men and a woman at a house in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, last October.
Prosecutors claim “acid or a similar corrosive liquid” was thrown from a bottle.
The men were allegedly assaulted to their severe injury, permanent disfigurement and danger of their lives.
The woman is said to have been hurt to her injury.
Marshall further faces two drugs charges.
It is also claimed, along with Smith, he acted in a threatening or abusive manner.
Hunter is charged with a drugs accusation as well.
Lawyers for the three pleaded not guilty on their behalf during a short hearing.
Lady Stacey set a trial due to begin next February. The case could last four days.
Bail for the trio, also all of Cumbernauld, was continued.
