I’d like Largs library to stay in same place.
The library is a place for quietness. It’s not supposed to be in a place like Vikingar where there is sports, cafes etc and lots of NOISE!
Also, Vikingar is down at front and anyone that knows Largs is well aware of the high winds and rain most of the year which are horrendous down at the front. Vikingar is also more out of the centre of Largs. Not many of the regular Largs library users will use it if its in Vikingar on a bad weather day.
Finally I see councillor Ian Murdoch highlighting its owned by North Ayrshire council. The building was owned by Mr. Barr in the past who passed it on to his wife when he died.........it was for the people of Largs from the Barr family.
