Largs Colts under 13s are trying to raise funds to enable the side to compete in a national football tournament.

The big competition is taking place in Cambersands in East Sussex and will involve around 150 teams from around the country, starting on 29 April.

Due to the annual running costs incurred, the football team has decided to try and raise the amount needed for the big trip through various fundraising activities.

Fundraising co-ordinator Jacqueline Lamb said: "These events are very expensive with costs including travel, accommodation, meals, equipment and entry fees. Due to the annual running costs incurred our football team has decided to try and raise the amount needed through fund raising." The coaches names are Tony Chessa and Andy McGill.

McGills Buses are main sponsors of Largs Colts. The Colts would also like to thank all the local businesses who have supported their recent fundraising raffle (see below). A list of the sponsors can be found on the 'News' website at www.largsandmillportnews.com If you can help in sponsoring the team for the big tournament, contact Jacqueline on 07505121054 or e-mail largscolts@yahoo.co.uk 1) Taylormade Travel Largs " Top Prize Family Holiday for 4" 2) Largs Travel 3) Main St Barbers 4) Coat Salon 5) Tony Macaroni (Big Nardinis) 6) Front Cafe (Big Nardinis) 7) The George Pub 8) The Cutting Room 9) Dip and Doodle 10) Silks Beauty 11) Colour Box Salon 12) Tradewinds Cafe 13) The Bagel Basket 14) Sugar and Spice 15) Vikingar 16) Kennedy Florists 17) The Room 18) Lanes Bowling 19) The Anchor Pub 20) Craig Myles 21) Kennedy Florist
