Largs Tennis Club are hoping to boost numbers with what they hope is an 'Ace' new initiative at the club.
It has been decided to reduce membership fees for the season at Douglas Park to £20 in a bid to increase membership.
The chairman Andy Auld, secretary Gavin MacLellan and treasurer Andy Jones will remain in their positions for the forthcoming season, and David Cunningham has joined the committee and will be club championships convenor.
The club hosted two successful community play days last year which were well attended.
A number of changes have been made by Tennis Ayrshire to the rules for this year's Ladies' and Men's Doubles Leagues this year.
The most significant of the changes is that to the match scoring system.
There will now be 12 points on offer per match instead of 2, 1 point for each set won, plus 1 point for each rubber won. A 2 sets to 1, 4 sets to 5 match will still result in a draw, 6 points all, but the match score could now vary from a 12-0 win, to a 0-12 defeat and anything in between.
All players in the league must be British Tennis Members (BTMs) linked to the tennis venue they are representing. It is the responsibility of individual clubs to notify their players as soon as possible to ensure they are registered before the start of the competition. It is free for members of affiliated Ayrshire clubs to become BTMs.
