A Bryan Boylan goal was enough to separate the sides as Largs lost out to Kilwinning in the Ayrshire Weekly Press Cup final.
Largs had overcome Premier outfits Hurlford and Kilwinning to reach the Ayrshire Cup final, and had good periods of dominance in the showpiece event on Saturday at Meadow Park.
Graham Muir had the best chance of the first half with a deflected effort which flashed over the bar, while in the second half Largs had long periods of possession but were unable to penetrate an experienced Kilwinning defence, and veteran keeper Michael Wardrope who started his career at Largs in the mid-1990s.
Thistle were denied a second half penalty as Laurie McMaster went down under a challenge.
Kilwinning had some late chances with Thistle keeper Blair Cousar coming to the rescue with two accomplished stops.
