Largs Thistle kick off their pre-season tonight with a home encounter against Winton Rovers, 7.15pm kick-off.

With the pair now avoiding each other in the revamped league cup section, both sides will be eager to get some match time under their belts with the season kicking off a week on Saturday.

Top Largs shot stoppers Sean Graham and Blair Cousar look set to be vying for number one jersey next season as Largs get to grips with the Premier League.

Largs and Millport Weekly News:
Both players impressed last season, but Graham has had to undergo an MRI Scan during the summer months for a long term injury which has kept him out since January.
In February, Blair Cousar signed from New Farm Loch Amateurs and made a quick impression including a heroic penalty shoot-out victory over derby rivals Kilbirnie in the Ayrshire Weekly Press Cup semis.

Largs and Millport Weekly News:
Thistle manager Stuart Davidson revealed to the 'News' that the loss of Sean Graham and Ross Lundy last season was a particularly testing time in October and November.
Lundy played his last game in November in which he saved a crucial penalty against Darvel which helped secure a vital point, and was unavailable due to work commitments.
Thistle boss Stuart Davidson said: "After his recent MRI scan, Sean needed an injection and it has to settle in for ten days. He is hoping to come back for pre-season training, and we are hoping that at last that will help clear up the injuries.
"His ankle and knee injuries were really painful and if gets rid of that and gets a good run at pre-season it will be great.
"Sean made some stunning saves for us.
"It was a difficult spell for us in October and November. I always said at the time it was important to judge us at the end of the season.
"Sean was great and played on at times through injury, but he was clearly not at his best, while even Stephen Connick managed to fill in a for a few games and we are indebted to him.
"Ross Lundy also saved that crucial penalty for us against Darvel. Everyone played their part.
"Blair has also done a great job for us too, so it is exciting times going into the new season."
Pre-season training is now underway.
Largs face friendlies against Greenock Morton U20s on Friday 20 July for a 7.15pm kick-off and Stranraer Reserves on Tuesday 24 July for a 7pm kick-off.
The season begins on earnest on Saturday 28 July away at Ardeer Thistle, 2pm kick-off, followed by Saltcoats (H) on Monday 30 July, and Kilwinning Rangers (A) on 1 July.
Davidson said: "We look forward to playing against Morton and Stranraer - these teams tend to be well organised and good technically.
"They have young boys and they are fit, and it is always a good work-out."
"The games are going to hit us thick and fast but we will be well prepared.
"The opening sectional tournament are usually tough games in the sections. I am sure the likes of Ardeer and Saltcoats Vics would love to take a Premier scalp, so we will have to be up for the challenge, and then we round it off with a midweek fixture against Kilwinning on 1 August to round off the section - and we know plenty about them about our recent Ayrshire cup final."
And the Thistle boss said he has been enjoying the World Cup, but pointed out that: "In the 2nd round when Argentina and Portugal got knocked out on the same day, we said goodbye to Messi and Ronaldo too - it just goes to show you that it is a team game. It is important that everyone works together in a team and you can't just rely on one individual."
Thistle have re-signed the following players for next season: Blair Cousar , Martin Orr, Laurie McMaster , Creag Little, Nicky Jamieson, Alan Gilbride ,Gary Fleming , Graham Muir, Jamie Campbell , Ryan McKie , John Carter, Kevin Struthers and Scott Adam. More signings are to be announced in the next few weeks.
