Largs have made a bold move in signing experienced midfield dynamo Mark Millar.

Having started his career at Celtic, the 30 year old has been a man of many clubs, and he attended Thistle’s 1-0 defeat to Auchinleck today. 

A club spokesman said: “Thistle are delighted to announce we’ve signed ex-SPFL and Scotland  youth international Mark Millar! 30-year-old midfielder Mark comes to Barrfields after a career at Celtic FC, Falkirk Football Club, Dundee United Football Club, Peterhead Football Club, Queen of the South FC, Livingston FC, Forfar Athletic Football Club (Official) and even a spell in Hungary with Ujpest. Mark was selected in the PFA Scotland Awards First Division/Championship teams of the year for 2012 and 2014 - all of us at your local Premiership team are delighted to kick on with our campaign in the top league alongside Mark.”

A club source told the ‘News’: “We are thrilled to secure Mark’s services. This is one of the club’s biggest ever signings. He is vastly experienced, having played for Falkirk, Dundee United, and starting out with Celtic.

“Mark is highly rated - he’s even had European experience in Hungary.

”This is a big move for us and the club have worked hard to secure Mark - and it’s a clear signal that’s we are looking to stay in the Premier for the long haul.”
