MANCHESTER United at Inverclyde: Inverclyde Sports Centre will host Manchester United’s stars of the future with the Premier League club’s under-23s team set to visit the facility next month.
Boss Ricky Sbragia will bring his team up to Largs for a four-day training camp based at the centre.
Manchester United Under-23s visited the state-of-the-art facilities at Inverclyde Sports Centre in Largs this time last year, above.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is no stranger to Inverclyde Sports Centre.
The Portuguese obtained his coaching badges at the SFA training course.
During the Red Devils’ visit, Greenock Morton’s reserve side will host the English Premier League giants in a challenge match at Cappielow on Thursday November 15, with a 2pm kick-off.

Of course, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is very familiar with Inverclyde Sports Centre having obtained his coaching badges at the SFA training course.

And retired principal of Inverclyde, John Kent, recalls Mourinho's time well at the centre, and said it was a great sight to see Mourinho mixing well all age groups at the sport centre during his stay in the early 2000s, before going on to great success with Porto, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
