Thistle boss Stuart Davidson has praised his men for pushing Premiership side Hamilton all the way on Saturday before losing out 3-1.
Davidson said: "The majority of the Hamilton team was first team players and we did ourselves proud with the performance which had plenty of positives.
"We are thankful to Hamilton Accies for allowing us the opportunity to play.
The Thistle team were: Farrell, Orr, McMaster, Little, Jamieson, Trialist, Faulds, Harkins, Carter, Struthers. Black Subs: Fleming, Muir, Ewing, Trialist, Graham (GK)
Gary Fleming came on at half-time in the closed doors game while Graham Muir and Sean Graham were also given valuable game time as subs.
It was also good for skipper Creag Little to get a game under his belt after his return from Australia after missing the draw against Hurlford.
Largs had a couple of decent chances in the second half, after halving the 2-0 deficit through a trialist just before half-time.
Coming close to equalising, Gary Fleming had a one-on-one with the keeper but Hamilton scored a late third to add some extra shine to the scoreline.
Accies included a selection of first team players including the likes of Dougie Imire and Ziggy Gordon in the bounce game.
Thistle were missing experienced Mark Millar who was absent as a precaution with a calf strain.
