As readers know, I predicted Largs to win against St Roch's so Saturday's draw was a big surprise to me.

Yeah it was a tight game and I didn't see them getting beat and Largs were obviously not at their best.

There was no way I thought it was a red card to Mark Millar who won the ball fair.

It looked a good goal from St Roch's and their boy just ran forward from the centre circle and gave it a good 'welly'.

St Roch's will lift their game, and it will be a difficult match, but I still expect Thistle to come through.

It is a small ground very like Irvine Vics park, fans are close to the ground on both sides, and they have a DJ at half-time and they have their tunes going before the game to build up the atmosphere.

It is a heavy park, and I think it will be a test of Thistle's mettle.

St Roch's have had some big wins this season and last when they got promotion and their manager Andy Cameron seems to have done well.

They have experienced players and they also do a lot of work for their community so they get their fans in the ground.

Andy has a lot to do with the community stuff.

The referee needs to be strong as well I think.

If I was Largs, get the ball in the box as much as you can, but St. Rochs will be thinking the same thing. It will be interesting to see if they change their approach because they are at home.

I still think Largs have a better strikeforce. Although difficult, I still like to think that Largs will win.

Hopefully it doesn't go to penalties as you will need a lot of bottle if it comes down to spot-kicks up there.

You have to stand up and be counted and put your foot through the ball,

If you don't feel like hitting the ball, don't take it, it has got to be the players who want to take the responsibility.

There have been cup shocks in recent weeks. Auchinleck beating Ayr was seen as a shock but those in the juniors don't think it was a big shock.

Hearts have had a few indifferent results recently, losing 5-0 to Livingston and being turned over 2-1 at Tynecastle against Dundee.

Auchinleck still have a few players from their last cup game at Tynecastle a few years ago which they narrowly lost 1-0.

In the Scottish Premiership, Rangers picked up a solid win at Livingston, and Celtic were comfortable against Hamilton.

One of the big talking points is Kilmarnock's stunning revival under Stevie Clarke.

The job he has done there has been tremendous and they were deserved 2-1 winners over Rangers last week, and have already beaten Celtic at Rugby Park this season.

It was a setback for them last night though as Hearts picked up a surprise 2-1 victory.
