Thistle legend George Wall writes for the 'News'..

Well done Largs Thistle!
That was a smashing result putting five past Kilwinning Rangers in the Macron Scottish Cup quarter finals.
When you get to semi-final stage of a tournament you really should not care who you get.
It is a two legged tie so there is no real home advantage. I expect the draw to be sometime next week.
It was a good plan to rest Mark Millar and Ben Black the week before in the league match.
Both were carrying knocks and it was good to see them back in their stride on Saturday and both played pivotal roles in the goals scored.
Having Nicky Jamieson and Laurie McMaster back in the side was also an important factor, and Largs can certainly look ahead to the rest of the season with relish.
It was a great performance and the side certainly deserve the plaudits, as do Stuart Davidson and his management team.
It is back to league business this Saturday as Largs take on Renfrew at New Western Park.
Although Largs had a comfortable 5-0 win at Barrfields against Renfrew earlier this season, it will be a tricky away game.
Thistle should beat Renfrew although they have some decent players including right sided midfielder Jamie Benton - he has some senior experience at East Stirling and featured for Maryhill when I was assistant manager.
Renfrew have had their ups and downs this season but I would still take Largs to win.
Some teams in the Premier Division have done really well in recent weeks including Irvine Meadow who have won nine out of their last ten league games. That is some feat.
Cambuslang look like they are struggling, while Kilbirnie and Petershill are also down there with Renfrew who are fighting for survival in the Premier.
Auchinleck have all these games in hand - every season they seem to be in the same position - and they will be hoping to challenge Hurlford who have been leading the way in the league so far.
* Sadly sectarian abuse has been a story once again in Scottish football with the awful treatment Kilmarnock manager Stevie Clarke suffered recently at Ibrox.
I have no idea how to stop it - I always thought the problem would be resolved a generation after me but looks like it’s getting worse.
Let’s start ejecting these fans that are causing it - they would soon be ejected from a pub so why not a football ground?
I agree with Hearts manager Craig Levein's stance after he called for sectarian fans to be banned after Steve Clarke's Ibrox abuse.
*The idea that bringing in foreign referees to the senior game in Scotland is a bad idea. It is a crazy stuff, and would be a waste of time.
Whoever came up with this idea needs to change jobs.
Celtic's legendary manager Jock Stein was spot on.
He was once quoted as saying “If you're good enough then the referee doesn’t matter."
