Thistle legend George Wall previews the big international weekend for Scotland...
The national team face Kazhakstan on Thursday afternoon, before a trip to minnows San Marino on Sunday afternoon.
George Wall knows Alex McLeish from his early football days and even texted him his good wishes upon his appointment.
Here are George's thoughts ahead of the games...
"Scotland need to get off to a flyer to get the country behind them. The squad to me is not exciting, it’s does not get you feeling confident however I think that is the best there is .
I don’t see any names that should not be there. For Alex to continue onto the World Cup he needs to do well over the coming Euro campaign .
One player I would like to see in the team from the start is McBurnie as having watched him a couple of times I think he had the attributes to lead the line and cause trouble to defences.
How we get the ball to him is another question I don’t feel Morgan or Burke are the wide men to do that. Russell is playing well at the moment in the MLS, maybe he is the guy."
