Largs suffered cup final heartache against Talbot who got off to a quick start.
McCracken converted from a corner at the near post after three minutes.
Largs were playing some good football with Mark Millar sending a deflected effort wide while Nicky Jamieson’s header to the right was just too high for Little to convert.
Talbot’s second goal came against the run of play as Samson dived in to slide home following a dangerous cross on 36 minutes.
It was a game of few chances but Talbot nearly added a third late in the game as Shankland slammed the bar in the final minutes.
It wasn’t to be for Largs who were only just promoted to the top flight this season and put in a great effort but came up against an immoveable force today in Auchinleck who won their 13th Scottish Cup.
