Thistle boss Stuart Davidson is delighted to make his first new signing of many in a high calibre striker - Jamie McKenna - who has been top scorer with Winton Rovers over the past two seasons.
McKenna has sparked interest in Kilbirnie and Albion Rovers in recent times, and is an important addition to the strikeforce.
Arnie spoke about his delight at capturing McKenna as his first marquee signing: "Every time we have faced Winton in recent seasons, Jamie has been a handful for our defenders, so I am particularly pleased that we have got him signed up. He is a good and pacy striker who has goals in him wherever he has been, and we hope he can have a similar effect at Largs.
"I always felt he could play at a higher level and now we are giving him that opportunity.
"He is quite experienced at 28 and ready to take his chance."
McKenna also used to feature for Port Glasgow.
